Function

3E’s Belgium is looking for an experienced technical Due Diligence consultant with a proven track record in the wind and/or PV industry in Europe.

The expert should have in-depth knowledge and expertise regarding wind and/or PV technical advisory. Your main responsibilities will be to carry out consultancy services such as Due Diligence and construction monitoring for Lenders and Investors as well as supporting our business development activities

Responsibilities

Managing and executing high quality technical advisory works:

  • Providing technical input from initial assessment through to technical and economic feasibility
  • Managing technical Due Diligence assignments
  • Reviewing overall project design and suggesting potential improvements
  • Reviewing/negotiating key construction contracts
  • Supporting Sponsor(s) and Lender(s) throughout the Financial Close process
  • Liaising with Legal and Financial Advisors
  • Assessing technical risks and proposing mitigation strategies to reduce risk over project CAPEX, OPEX and revenues
  • Following up project construction and acceptance
  • Acting as main interface and manage the relationship with clients

Contributing to business development and acquisition:

  • Preparing proposals for client’s projects such as Due Diligence, Owner’s Engineering, Resource Assessment & Construction Monitoring
  • Managing existing and new customer relationships through efficient account management.

Profile

  • Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineer with 5 to 7 years experience in engineering, design and/or construction, including at least 3 years in the wind and/or PV energy sector, preferably with a past experience as technical consultant;
  • Previous work experience in international environment;

Skills

  • Good understanding of the renewable energy sector, with specific knowledge and understanding of the onshore wind/solar energy industry
  • General technical knowledge of the design, operations and maintenance of onshore wind/solar farms electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to form and lead project teams, dispatch and manage work streams and projects on time and budget
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch, French or additional languages is an asset
  • High business awareness skills and good network in Europe, France in particular
  • Experience in project management and follow up of client contacts.
  • Ability to travel to sites, customer meetings and 3E’s external offices in France on a regular basis
