3E’s Consultancy Unit is looking for a junior consultant passionate about innovative means of integrating renewables into the energy mix and has proven experience in translating techno-economic results into policy recommendations and strategic advice. Experience in consultancy, energy markets, storage and programming are a plus.

Within in the team, you will acquire, manage and contribute significantly to projects involving advice to regulatory agencies, government departments, international institutions and the private sector.

Your key responsibilities include:
• Techno-economic analysis and modelling for providing policy recommendations, advice on electricity markets and innovation strategies.
• Engineering services for intelligent grid and energy storage management.
• Full cycle policy studies, from research and data analysis, over preparing or assessing policies, to making policy and strategic recommendations on renewable energy and/or energy efficiency.
• Business development in your field of expertise, including following up on existing leads, generating your own, preparing project proposals and price/scope negotiations.


• Master degree in engineering, economics, politics or similar through experience
• Relevant experience within the sustainable energy sector
• Multidisciplinary interest and the ability to link disciplines (energy, policy, economics, technology)

• Strong organisational and project management capabilities, able to function autonomously as well as within a team
• Ability to identify key issues, assess their implications and communicate complex subjects in readily understandable terms
• Able to work in a transversal team, across several departments
• Creative and innovative mindset


• Fluent in English. Dutch or French is an asset.
