What you will be doing

You will act as a presales expert for our SaaS solutions and will operate at the intersection of engineering, sales, operations and product management.

You will be responsible to communicate and demonstrate the technical aspects and added value of the SAAS solution and thereby form a part of the team to convince top prospects while selling the 'executable'.

You work in tandem with the sales representative, and you take ownership of the technical phases within the sales process, including demonstrations of the SaaS platform, technical requirement analysis and definition etc. You demonstrate thorough product knowledge and understanding of the operational activities in combination with your commercial awareness.

Day-to-day, you will aim to:

  • Understand the customer needs and convey the value proposition of our SaaS solutions to them. Then, you drive the customer from A to Z through the technical buying cycle.
  • Gather and analyze the use cases of customers and map them into the standard processes and features of our SaaS solution
  • Translate customer needs into opportunities to improve our product in close cooperation with product management.
  • Stay in close contact with our top customers to capture feedback, increase customer success and create opportunities for upselling.
  • Streamline and optimise the process between Sales, Operations and R&D for maximum efficiency and scalability.
  • Respond to a request for information (RFIs) or request for proposals (RFPs) from customers
  • Liaise with Product Managers to provide feedback from clients about product requirements
  • Develop solutions and organising, planning, creating & delivering compelling proof of concept demonstrations

In this position, you report to the head of presales & onboarding and work closely with the Sales, Operations, and Product Management teams.

Our ideal candidate

  • You have a Master in Information Technology or Engineering, or you have an equivalent of this requirement in working experience
  • You have an experience of over 4 years in a technical sales position within a high-growth environment.
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and are adept at working with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience working with multinational customers
  • You demonstrate exceptional technical skills and a rich blend of commercial, analytical, and strategic talents to create success with prospects and customers
  • You've learned to walk the tightrope between hands-on pragmatism and strategic projects, while juggling day-to-day requests and team availabilities
  • Experience within the solar and/or wind industry gives you extra points
  • You have full professional proficiency, spoken and written, in English. Other languages (Dutch, French) are an asset.
