What you will be doing

To reinforce our finance team, we are looking for a Corporate Controller with strong IFRS knowledge. You will report directly to the Finance Director and work closely together with your four other colleagues in Finance and several teams across the company.

Day-to-day you will:

  • Support and take ownership in IFRS reporting towards our stock listed shareholder.
  • Support our finance team with the financial reporting process (e.g. timesheet review and reporting, monthly turnover reporting, monthly EBIT reporting, monthly SAP verifications & high-level bookings, budget and cash forecasting, cost analysis - reporting and optimization, audits).
  • Prepare periodical financial subsidy reporting to government institutions.
  • Support in the SaaS invoicing process with invoice calculations, checks on accuracy of data and checks on completion.
  • Obtain in-depth knowledge of the project management & financial systems, making it your mission to become an expert in the matter and provide/take care of:
        • Support to users
        • Upgrades
        • Contact with external IT consults.
  • Support the Finance Director in the day-to-day tasks & requests.
  • Act as an internal auditor for the quality management system.
  • Take up executive support in ad hoc finance projects.

For this varied function we are looking for someone who is good at connecting the dots. We see our new corporate controller as a proactive, trustworthy and discrete person with an analytical mind. Working with numbers on a daily base while respecting deadlines (and the pressure that sometimes comes with them) is your idea of an interesting business day. The details don’t escape you and you are able to fit them in a bigger picture. Multi-tasking is in your nature, as you will be working on project basis and arranging your own calendar to get the job(s) done.

Of course, there are some things we can’t do without:

  • You hold a Master in applied economics, finance or equivalent.
  • You have minimum 5 years of experience as a corporate controller or in an audit function (medior profile).
  • You have IFRS and BE-GAAP knowledge.
  • Advanced Excel functions are no mystery.
  • You are fluent in English and Dutch/French.

Bonus points for:

  • Other languages
  • Knowledge of SAPB1/MARI Project
  • Knowledge of Belgian tax & company law
  • Knowledge of VBA / Power query
